Ami Novoryta is the Managing Director, Strategy & Impact. She plays a lead role in managing the day-to-day operations of the organization and facilitating the execution of NCTL’s new strategy.
Prior to joining NCTL, Ami completed the Boston Teacher Residency and taught fifth grade in two Boston Public Schools with expanded school days. Previously, Ami led development and communications at Erie Neighborhood House, a community-based nonprofit in Chicago that works to empower immigrants through education. She also has worked with A+ Illinois, a state-wide campaign for school funding reform, and at BRAC, a non-governmental agency in Bangladesh, where she developed a framework for the organization’s educational advocacy efforts. Ami received her Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, a Master’s in Education from the University of Massachusetts-Boston, and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
