Federal Policy

NCTL is dedicated to creating a federal policy environment that supports states, districts, and schools that use expanded time as part of comprehensive school reforms to ensure the best education for all students. To support that goal, NCTL works actively to pass new laws like the Time for Innovation Matters in Education Act, improve existing laws like No Child Left Behind, secure federal funding for expanded learning time, and assist the U.S. Department of Education in the development and implementation of expanded time policies. The federal policy team is led by David Goldberg who is also responsible for building partnerships with other national organizations to support our work.
