Connecticut Cohort 1

In Connecticut, the TIME Collaborative is a partnership between the National Center on Time & Learning, the Ford Foundation, the Connecticut State Department of Education, and several local community partners including the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, COMPASS Youth Collaborative, and the United Way of Meriden and Wallingford.

Five Connecticut schools in East Hartford, Meriden, and New London are moving forward with the implementation of expanded learning time (ELT) in the 2013-2014 school year after submitting plans that met TIME Collaborative standards for both high-quality and sustainability. Throughout the year, leadership teams from these schools will participate in a series of technical assistance sessions led by NCTL staff and receive onsite coaching as they continue to refine the implementation of their expanded school schedule.
