State Policy

An increasing number of states around the country have implemented policies and programs that prioritize more learning time to accelerate student achievement and close opportunity gaps and to provide teachers more time for collaboration and planning. 

These examples of policy initiatives – whether through innovation laws, competitive grant programs or  new requirements around learning time – can be used by other state leaders as they look to provide all students with a high-quality educational experience in their schools.
