Chenee` Dwarte

Director of School and District Support, Massachusetts

Chenee` Dwarte is the director of School and District Support on the State and District Engagement Team at NCTL. In this role, she supports the development of Expanded Learning Time initiatives, works to ensure improved academic achievement, and guides schools through the development of enhanced quality instruction and a more flexible use of resources.

Chenee` was the core knowledge curriculum coordinator, the assistant principal and then served as principal at Imagine Foundation Public Charter School in Prince George’s County, Maryland, before joining NCTL. Imagine Foundations Public Charter School is a prize-winning member of the Imagine Public Charter School Community and, during Chenee’s tenure as principal, it was recognized as one of the highest performing charter schools in the state.  
 
Prior to her work in school administration, Chenee` taught third and fifth grades in Baltimore City and Harford County, Maryland. Chenee` holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts degree in Administration and Supervision from Notre Dame University and a Master of Arts degree in Human Resource Development from Bowie State University.
