Students deserve an education that will prepare them for success in college and the workforce, and educators and policy leaders across the country recognize that schools must change to meet the demands of our 21st-century world. Today’s higher standards mean that more students need extra time and support. This is the reason why a growing number of foundations are investing in NCTL, and why—despite strained education budgets—our state and district partners have set aside some of their own funds to collaborate and receive vital technical assistance from our organization.

However, with the demand and new policies calling for more learning time in thousands of low performing schools across the U.S., donations are crucial to cover our expansions; more than 90% of support for NCTL’s work to expand learning time comes from philanthropic support. With your support, NCTL is able to:

  • • Create knowledge tools and make them available—at no cost—on our website
  • • Study the highest-performing schools serving high-poverty students, and educate leaders about the promising practices that accelerate student achievement
  • • Provide technical assistance support and respond to requests from schools, districts, and states around the country
