New Schools Join the MA ELT Initiative

We are pleased to welcome Guilmette Middle School in Lawrence and Boston's Young Achievers K-8 Pilot School and Dever Elementary School to the MA Expanded Learning Time Initiative. This year, the grant competition for the ELT Initiative was fierce with seven schools applying for limited funds. While we are very excited to welcome these schools into the expanded-time movement in the state, we know there are some very worthy schools that will not be able to move forward with their plans for expanded learning time and we hope to continue to support their efforts to expand opportunities for their students.

With the addition of these three schools, more than 11,500 students in 21 schools in 10 communities across the state will benefit from the opportunities of an expanded school day as part of the MA ELT Initiative.
